Share the trick of how to measure the springback number of the pipe when bending with the
pipe bending machine: when the external force is withdrawn, the bent pipe will return to its original condition. The measured bending angle of the pipe is smaller than the required bending angle, which is commonly referred to as the springback of the pipe. During bending forming, the metal material deforms under force and is bent into an angle.
There are many factors affecting springback, which is a complex problem. The springback of pipes will be affected by different materials, different diameters, different bending radii, different tooling and different process parameters used to adjust the pipe bender. However, after the machine tool is adjusted, the process parameters (bending radius, bending speed, clamping force, etc.) have been determined, and the relationship between bending angle and springback is measured when bending a batch of material pipes. Therefore, some factors affecting springback are simplified, so that the angle of elbow arm of the pipe bender and the bending angle of the pipe can be regarded as a linear relationship, which is a simple and practical method to determine springback.
